There aren't enough Xbox controller variants out there, are there? Seriously, we really needed another one - in fact, we really needed three new variants, which is what Microsoft has delivered! Say hello to the Xbox 'Breaker' Controller Series - which launches next week with three different colour schemes.
We have the 'Ice Breaker', which contains an icy blue theme, 'Storm Breaker', which opts for a sleek black and white look, and finally 'Heart Breaker', which is one for you pink and purple fans out there. Here's a look at all three new Xbox special edition pads:
"They say good things come in threes – and the Xbox Wireless Controller Breaker special edition series is no exception. This bold new family of special edition controllers includes Heart Breaker, Ice Breaker, and Storm Breaker. For the very first time, three distinct special edition controllers are launching simultaneously, each with their own personality and unique features – from metallic coatings to frosted translucent elements – offering players more choice from day one."
Despite that tongue-in-cheek intro from us up at the top, we actually quite like the Storm Breaker variant especially - it's certainly our pick of the bunch! Last month, Microsoft brought Xbox Design Lab back after the service took a break for the first seven months of 2025 - so clearly, the team is upping its controller game once again. If you're fancying one of these Breaker controllers instead though, they're coming in at $80 and £75 in the US and UK, respectively.
