Things have gone a little quiet on the Palworld front since developer Pocketpair had its legal battles with Nintendo, but now the team has a major announcement to make: the game is leaving early access sometime in 2026.
In a new developer post, Pocketpair says that it is "planning a massive update" to coincide with the game's 1.0 release next year. The team also has a "message to our fans" to mark the announcement, which we'll throw down below:
"Once again, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the fans who continue to support Palworld and Pocketpair. Your support encourages us to continue doing our best, and motivates us to make the game even better!
We will continue to do our utmost, communicating more openly with you all, to deliver the best gaming experience possible. We hope you will look forward to the things we are working on for Palworld and Pocketpair."
Finally, early access players — including those on Xbox Game Pass, where the game is still playable — can expect "several surprises" this year, so the team isn't done with updates while the title is still in Xbox Game Preview form either.
Speaking of updates, the last time we covered Palworld, the game was getting its big crossplay update - which went live earlier this year and unites players across Xbox, PC and PS5.
