Just in case you were wondering, because we didn't put it in our big Nintendo Direct roundup earlier today, Hades 2 did actually show up during the event - but unfortunately the Switch version is a console exclusive for the time being.
We have actually known this for a while, mentioning back in April that we thought Hades 2 would be with us next year on Xbox rather than this year, and that's seemingly been re-confirmed with today's announcement.
So, yeah... it's coming to Switch on September 25th, but there's no sign of any other consoles right now.
The reason we knew this back in April is because Nintendo literally highlighted it in a trailer, stating that Hades 2 would be "launching first for consoles on Switch 2". A similar thing happened with the first game, which took almost a year to land on Xbox after making its console debut on the original Switch.
If it follows a similar pattern to the first game, Hades 2's Xbox release date looks set to land in August 2026. Of course, they might be doing things differently this time - perhaps it's only a three or six-month exclusivity window?
Whatever happens, we'll obviously let you know as soon as we get a confirmed Xbox date for this one.
