As we've already mentioned on Pure Xbox today, RoboCop: Rogue City is now officially available on Xbox Game Pass - but there's also another brand-new RoboCop game that's launched on the Xbox Store over the past few hours.
That game is RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business, which serves as a standalone expansion to the 2023 title, seeing you fight through an OmniTower that's riddled with highly trained mercenaries.
The reviews have just gone live for RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business today, and here's what some are saying:
Radio Times (4/5)
"Just like Rogue City, Unfinished Business is the gaming equivalent of stuffing your face with pizza and popcorn on a Saturday night. It’s not overly complex or flashy, but it’s wonderfully indulgent."
Metro (7/10)
"As with Rogue City, our score flatters the game, and you should definitely take off at least one point if you’re not a RoboCop fan, but considering the improvements that have been made in just two years, for a 10 hour long expansion, we can’t wait to see what Teyon does next, with even more time and money at their disposal."
Push Square (6/10)
"You can't really go wrong with Unfinished Business if you enjoyed its underrated predecessor, but expectations need to be kept in check. This standalone follow-up is disappointingly rough around the edges, and although its comically violent combat remains satisfying, it's not varied enough to elevate the entire action-heavy campaign."
IGN (6/10)
"As someone who delighted in blasting through the original RoboCop: Rogue City, my hopes for this standalone Unfinished Business expansion were higher than a junkie on Nuke. However, outside of the exhilarating playable cameo from ED-209, there’s really not enough new here to make another 10 hours as everyone’s favourite baby food-slurping supercop worth going out of your way for."
As you can see, the reviews for RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business aren't all that impressive right now, which is obviously a shame - although multiple critics are suggesting you'll still enjoy it if you enjoyed the original Rogue City. It has a Metacritic score of 67 for PS5 and 69 for Xbox Series X|S at the time of writing.
The good news is that it's not all that expensive, costing just £24.99 / $29.99 on the Xbox Store. Play the original on Game Pass, see how much you enjoy it, and then consider picking this up if you're looking for more RoboCop action!
