Bethesda has been able to take a trip down memory lane after it shadow dropped The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered last month with the help of Virtuos.

As part of this journey back in time, it's released a "then and now" video reaction to that famous documentary dating back to 2006. You know, the one featuring Todd Howard and his iconic line about being in the chess club.

Jokes aside, it is quite amazing to see how much Bethesda has evolved over the years - as Pete Hines notes the "number of folks" sitting in the room watching this documentary was pretty much "the whole company" at the time of Oblivion's making, which felt like a "small, tight team".

Howard himself admits it was awkward as he thought it would be rewatching this documentary after 20 years, but is definitely thankful to the entire team that helped make this game "that still lives on". You can see the whole thing play out above.
