Back at the start of the month, we mentioned how a couple of big free-to-play games were set to release on Xbox in March 2025 - but then shared an update that the hero shooter FragPunk was being delayed indefinitely on console.
The team behind FragPunk mentioned at the time that they discovered "unexpected challenges in in optimisation and adaptation" during the console compliance testing process, leaving them unable to launch the game as planned.
"Our team is working closely with both the Xbox and PlayStation teams to get FragPunk into your hands as soon as possible..."
The PC release did go ahead though, and it's ended up proving very popular. Looking at the Steam Charts, FragPunk has an all-time peak of over 100,000 concurrent players, and it's almost reached that again in the past 24 hours.
That level of success makes us very eager to see what all the fuss is about, and we're just hoping the developers can find a way to bring FragPunk to Xbox (and PlayStation) owners as soon as possible.
There's no sign of a new release date for FragPunk on Xbox yet, but we'll let you know when it's announced.
