We're quite excited to see a brand-new Test Drive game launch on Xbox Series X|S, and this week Nacon has delivered even more gameplay from the upcoming Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown - and the new-gen title is looking rather nice indeed.
This time out, developer KT Racing has focused on off-road cruising with its "The Explorer" trailer, which you can view up above. The French studio has been synonymous with developing WRC games lately, so it should know a thing or two about compelling off-road racing.
However, it should be noted that TDU:SC isn't at the finish line yet - and there's lots of work to be done. Alongside "tests to test the power and stability of servers" and "optimising the game's performance", the team says that things like dust clouds and dirt particle effects aren't finished yet - so if those aspects look a little off in this new trailer, that's why.
At the moment, Nacon is still aiming for a 2024 launch with Solar Crown. However, the developer isn't rushing into providing a release date, as it wants to "take the time needed to ensure that your experience of Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown is as smooth, stable and fun as can be".
