It was back at The Game Awards a couple of weeks ago that SEGA announced plans to develop new games for Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio, Streets of Rage, Shinobi and Golden Axe, and it was one of the most exciting reveals at the event!

Now, in an update from SEGA Sammy as part of a recent Management Meeting, we have a few more details to share about each title. Perhaps the biggest confirmation here is that Jet Set Radio will be an open world game.

You can see some of the new images of these titles above, and here are the descriptions for each:

  • Crazy Taxi: "Innovative & Fresh Style Driving Action! Cheerful feeling of freedom x Fusion of nature and city, Peel out the new stage of Crazy City!"
  • Golden Axe: "Warriors arise to subdue the demons! Defeat your enemies with a variety of attacks with swords and magic! The legendary story about the battle axe, ā€œGolden Axeā€ is about to begin!"
  • Jet Set Radio: ā€œCounter-cultureā€. Tokyo Street Open World. Experience the ā€œrebellionā€ movement that feels free in a suffocating society. Make friends, increase your fans, and create a movement."
  • Shinobi: "Slay the enemies in the silence of the moment. Run through the world of Shinobi full of monsters and ninja actions. Grab Oborozuki, the legendary sword and slay Evil once more. Your clan and the world are counting on you."
  • Streets of Rage Revolution: "Beloved side-scrolling beat ā€˜em up action series. Take control of one of the ex-officers and make the city a place where people no longer have to walk the ā€œStreets of Rageā€!"

We don't have any idea of when these games will be releasing just yet, but you can check out some early development footage in the trailer at the top of this article. Hey SEGA, how about bringing a couple of these to Xbox Game Pass?
