Xbox Is Adding Two Major Free-To-Play Games Today (September 28)

It's a good day to be a fan of free-to-play games! Xbox is adding two particularly big ones today in the form of the arcade racer Disney Speedstorm and the battle royale My Hero Ultra Rumble across Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

You've probably heard of Disney Speedstorm before - it's been available for a while in early access form, but now it's finally switching from a paid release to a free-to-play one. Season 4 is also on the way imminently, which will bring a bunch of Aladdin characters and a new track to the game as part of the "Cave of Wonders" update.

As for My Hero Ultra Rumble, we spoke about that one last week here at Pure Xbox - it sees you partnering with up to two other players in an eight-team battle royale using characters from the My Hero series.

We'll throw more details about both of these down below, and you should be able to download them on Xbox very soon.

Disney Speedstorm

"Welcome to Disney Speedstorm! Drift into the ultimate hero-based combat racing game, set on high-speed circuits inspired by Disney and Pixar worlds. Master each character’s unique skills and claim victory in this thrilling arcade racing experience from the creators of the Asphalt series!"

My Hero Ultra Rumble

"Pick your favorite character, team up and fight to be the last ones standing in the new 24-player Battle Royale free to play game MY HERO ULTRA RUMBLE!"
