Baldur's Gate 3 Will Feature Cross-Saves Between Xbox, PS5 & PC

I think title of the article is slightly misleading. Most people associate cross play with being able to play online with people on another platform. As far as I have been able to find BG3 doesn’t support cross play at the moment (after tons of googling to see if I would be able to play with my PC mates).

@FraserG Haha no worries. I just saw the article and got super excited because I thought Larian had confirmed it. Hopefully it’s a future addition.

Cross save and cross play between different platforms is just a must these days. I play Diablo 4 on Series X and a good close friend of mine plays D4 and PS5. We play together all the time with no problems. It should be that way. I hear madden has it this year. You should have to pick the console your friends play on unless you want to.

How does this work for achievements?

If I've been playing on PC, due to the prior issues with S holding the release back, will I retroactively get all achievements I'm past when I load the save on to Xbox?

@InterceptorAlpha it'd be nice if that happened. But cant see it, the achievements system in general has gone to.... just finished Pillars of Eternity, 6 achievements haven't unlocked. Guess why?, you have to play through it all in one sitting because a patch broke it and thats that.

MS need to start sorting these achievement issues.

Finished the Return to Arkham games and and mostly through Arkham Knight.

I have like 10 unmissable story achievements that never unlocked. They really need to vet achievements better.

Issues like this somehow make achievements, that have no value, feel like they're worth even less.

@InterceptorAlpha yeah, its so frustrating. FM7 had issues with the MP race 50 laps in the night/rain etc... only work around was to play it on PC. For many that's not a option. Don't know if thats fixed finally.

Your Batman ones have they just not unlocked or do you have the dreaded "100%" or "done unlocking" in the tracker?

Luckily I've mostly kicked my achievement hunting habit, but when i play a game and im having such a great time i decide I'm gonna go for them all and they're glitched/broken it winds me up

@code45709 I remember that FM7 issue.

And I wish it was something like that on the Arkham games. They're just straight up saying locked. For example on Asylum, you get one for beating Poison Ivy. A prerequisite to beating the game. Beat the game on 7/10/2023. Beat Poison Ivy around 6/26/2023.

@InterceptorAlpha thats so annoying, happened to me with a sherlock game, i played through it 3 times, deleted saves locally and cloud saves, reinstalled the game and a big fat no on unlocking it.

Whatever the Call of Duty game on XBLA with 200 GS was i an achievement glitched, it was 5+ years later and it randomly popped for me.

Still all that aside ive still had fun and thats the most important thing 👍
