Assassin's Creed fans could be in for a treat later this week, with the French company Ubisoft expected to announce "several new games" in the franchise.

The reveal will reportedly take place at the upcoming Ubisoft Forward event on Saturday. The company has already teased how it will share a "peek at the future of the franchise". According to Bloomberg and the original source Try Hard, there'll be a mobile game and two major games showcased.

The first "major" game is supposedly developed by Ubisoft's Quebec City Office, and is set in Japan. The second one is apparently being handled by the Montreal Office and is set around the latter stages of the Holy Roman Empire. It would focus on the witch trials.

The recently announced game Mirage will also be on show. It's expected to be set in Baghdad during the 800s based on some "widespread" leaks. It's believed it'll be stealth orientated, similar to some of the earlier games.
