Yesterday marked the release of Far Cry 6 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, and we've seen plenty of praise for it across social media so far, along with very positive reports about its performance.

Players have been taking to the Xbox Series X subreddit to share their experiences with it:

There's been a fair bit of discussion surrounding the critical reviews of the game that dropped earlier this week, many of which had very good things to say, but criticised the fact that it feels like the same old Far Cry experience. The player response hasn't been all positive, but plenty of Xbox and Far Cry fans seem to be happy so far.

In terms of performance, it's been suggested that the game runs at a near-locked 60fps across Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S (along with PS5). The game is said to utilise dynamic resolution, and according to a test from VGTech, Xbox Series X boasts the best maximum resolution of the three consoles at 3840x2160 (lowest is 3072x1728), while the Xbox Series S runs at an impressive 2560x1440 resolution (lowest is 1920x1080).

Meanwhile, the Xbox One version is getting reports of a near-locked 30fps, so all seems good there too.

It's a good start, then, but how are you getting on with Far Cry 6? Let us know down in the poll below.
