If you're (somehow) running out of parts of the sky to fly through in Microsoft Flight Simulator, a new world update is now available to download for all players for free. World Update VI sees Austria, Germany and Switzerland given an extra level of detail for further immersion.
The update "features new aerial imagery, high-resolution elevation maps and 3D cities". It's also said to include 100 handcrafted famous locations, along with "several new airports such as Lübeck, Stuttgart, Klagenfurt, and St. Gallen".
World Update VI – Germany, Austria, Switzerland features new aerial imagery, high-resolution elevation maps, and 3D cities, including Frankfurt and Wuppertal in Germany, Basel in Switzerland, and Graz and Vienna in Austria. The team has also hand crafted 100 famous locations and several new airports such as Lübeck, Stuttgart, Klagenfurt, and St. Gallen. This update also includes new discovery flights, fresh landing challenges, and bush trips that showcase this beautiful region of our planet.
It's nice to see Microsoft Flight Simulator receive consistent updates, adding more content for all players, including Xbox Game Pass users. There's even a Top Gun expansion in the works but has been delayed until next year alongside the release of the new film, Top Gun Maverick.
If that wasn't enough, an online racing expansion is expected to launch later this year, allowing you and your friends to take to the skies in competitive matches. There's still much more excitement on the horizon.
Excited to see the new World Update VI? Let us know in the comments below.
