One of the highlights of this month so far has been the reveal and first look at Battlefield 2042. It's a future take on the largescale and long-running warfare series arriving this October.

If it got you in the mood for some Battlefield, you're not alone. In a post on EA's official support website, the publisher has announced it has had to increase the server capacity of Battlefield 4 in the US West Region following the reveal of the new entry.

Hey everyone, We were absolutely blown away by your excitement and reactions to the recent Battlefield 2042 reveal.

Since then, many of you have jumped back into Battlefield 4 to already get a taste of the return to all-out-warfare. We’ve been monitoring your experience and noticed queue times in the US West region were far longer than in other regions. Good news, we’ve increased server capacity for this region – you can expect less waiting, and more playing.

We’ll continue monitoring queue times and will make further adjustments as necessary. Thank you for playing!

As EA's official message notes - it seems the excitement and reaction to the BF 2042 reveal has got players picking up this older 2013 release once again.
