Get your calendar out! Microsoft has confirmed it will be hosting an Xbox Indie Showcase next week in conjunction with Twitch, set to feature over 100 games from independent developers based all over the world.
The event will feature brand-new game announcements, new trailers and gameplay footage, Xbox Game Pass announcements and much more. It'll take place on Friday, March 26 at 9am PST / 4pm GMT.
"We’re featuring tons of independent titles, including brand new game announcements from developers and publishers such as DrinkBox, Curve Digital, Devolver Digital, Dear Villagers and others.
During the showcase, we’ll debut new trailers and gameplay for more than 25 games, including S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, Second Extinction, The Ascent, The Wild at Heart, Voidtrain, Exo One and many more. "
This showcase will be taking place exclusively on Twitch, but rest assured you'll be able to watch it live with us here at Pure Xbox as well, and we'll obviously cover all the major announcements following the event.

@VenomousAlbino I feel that if Microsoft waited a bit longer before shutting down Mixer, it would've gotten the growth required to not shut it down because of the mess Twitch has become.
I enjoyed nintendo life's indie showcase a few months ago so will definitely give this a watch, always a few hidden gems to be found

Twitch seems like an odd choice.
Hopefully it has a better stream quality than YouTube live events which are heavily compressed/pixelated 1080p.
I've started to think there's not much point to watching them live as I just have to rematch them again in 4K.
Glad MS is adopting the Indie World Presentation format from Nintendo. Platform makers boosting indies only improves both parties' images. Hoping Sony follows suit. Also helps that some of these games will likely come to Switch.

Seems like the majority are excited about the indie showcase. I love me some shorter games and games outside the norm. Really looking forward to this one and will likely give it a watch after the fact.
@Grumblevolcano yeah but they were trying to purchase Tik Tok. Which it would have been declined as a monopoly to own both..
My hope is to see 12 Minutes and Tunic release dates
@Medic_Alert I'm honestly surprised Hades isn't on GP, yet.
@Grumblevolcano That's been a long standing issue with Microsoft. If they put something outq and it isn't pretty much immediately a success, they end it.
