Update: We now have a confirmed release date of June 8 thanks to Xbox Wire. We also have confirmation that the beta will be available on Xbox with full cross-play support between April 23 - 29 for all pre-orders.


Original story: The sequel to the multiplayer focused Medieval action game Chivalry will arrive on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One on June 8th, Torn Banner Studios has announced.

Chivalry 2 is a sequel to the Xbox 360 title, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, and allows players to engage in large scale battles, as up to 64 players can live out their medieval fantasies... safely, with cross-play support across all platforms. An assortment of weapons such as catapults, trebuchets, battering rams can be used to turn the tide of battle in your favour across an assortment of games modes.

Alongside the announcement date, a beta will also be available in March for PC players who pre-order the game. The beta will also reportedly allow cross-play, and a press release suggests Xbox One and Series X/S betas are on the way, however no details on how to access them have been shared as of yet.
