While many have been eagerly anticipating the release of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, the wait is now looking to be a lot longer as the game has been delayed indefinitely.
In a recent development update, the sad news was delivered as it was confirmed the game will be no longer hitting its intended 2021 release window. Instead “more development time is required” to ensure the game is up to standard.
Not only that, but one of the main reasons for the change is that Hardsuit Labs will no longer be leading the development of the project. It’s not been revealed why the decision was made outside of a “change [was] needed”, but the switch-up has caused a significant delay.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 was one of the first games shown for the Xbox Series X|S during Spring last year. At the time, it looked really promising and a worthy sequel to the cult-classic which many fans love. Hopefully the delay results in a polished and enjoyable product.

Sigh. Just release what you have and let the fans finish it. This franchise is cursed. Too bad, as I loved Bloodlines and even Redemption before it.
Changing the entire development studio for the game? That's pretty much tantamount to saying it's a complete disaster.
Ugh, i was really looking forward to this game. Oh well.
Well, that's not a good sign...
Many of these game trailers and so called 'gameplay' or 'in engine' displays are outsourced and have nothing to do with the game company making the game. It was probably a complete disaster and looked nothing like the trailers we saw if the whole dev team is being replaced. We'll be waiting quite a while.
