It's been almost two years since zombie shooter Back 4 Blood was first announced, but now we've finally got a new trailer and release date for the game, as well as some actual gameplay footage as part of The Game Awards 2020.
Developed by Turtle Rock Studios - the team behind the acclaimed Left 4 Dead franchise - Back 4 Blood looks extremely similar in nature to those games, described as a "thrilling cooperative first-person shooter."
The game is officially arriving for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on June 22, 2021, and if you have access to a PC, you can also register for a closed PC alpha beginning on December 17th.
Here's a look at some gameplay, along with a brief description of the game:
Back 4 Blood is a thrilling cooperative first-person shooter from the creators of the critically acclaimed Left 4 Dead franchise. You are at the center of a war against the Ridden. These once-human hosts of a deadly parasite have turned into terrifying creatures bent on devouring what remains of civilization. With humanity’s extinction on the line, it’s up to you and your friends to take the fight to the enemy, eradicate the Ridden, and reclaim the world.

Meh.
Turtle Rock completely drops the ball with Evolved & then goes crawling back to their overrated Left 4 Dead franchise......
Except I’m sure Valve owns the rights to that IP, so they make a Left 4 Dead clone called, Back 4 Blood?
🙄 😴
Is this going to be FTP? Because nobody is paying $60-70 for a multiplayer focused co-op shooter with a short & horrid campaign these days.
I'll give it a shot. Loved Left 4 Dead, and thought Evolve was okay.
