Microsoft announced back in late September that it would be temporarily suspending the Xbox Design Lab controller service until 2021, and you've now only got a few days left to order one before it goes offline on October 14th.
Fortunately, Microsoft is being generous for those last few days and providing a £10 / $10 discount on all Xbox Design Lab controllers, so if you've been waiting to get one, now is the time!
Keep in mind that these custom controllers are currently based on the Xbox One controller design, but nevertheless they'll work perfectly well with the Xbox Series X/S whenever you decide to get one.
We're assuming the service is going away so that Microsoft can update it for the latest version of the Xbox controller - the company stated back in September that Design Lab was "preparing for its next evolution."

Unless you're really desperate, why would you not just wait until it starts up again with the new controller? Would be awesome if they offered it for the Elite 2 or the 3 when it comes out.
