Developer Maze Theory highlighted back in May that it was working on a Doctor Who game for Xbox, and now the game has been officially revealed as a reimagining of last year's VR title Doctor Who: The Edge of Time.
The new game - Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality - is said to build upon that VR experience, introducing brand-new gameplay, new monsters and new worlds to explore, and will challenge you to save reality from a series of time-breaking glitches.
And the best bit? Players will be guided by the Thirteenth Doctor, voiced by Jodie Whittaker, and joined by the Tenth Doctor, voiced by David Tennant. Consider us interested!
Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality will be available for Xbox One in Spring 2021, and Maze Theory has previously confirmed to GamesRadar that the title will be backwards compatible on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S as well.

I finished playing Edge of Time on my Quest last week. It was pretty good but also very "VR" there's a whole bit where you have to operate machinery whilst keeping a constant eye on the angels.
it was really intense despite the fact I was just turning a crank whilst looking at the angels, I'm not sure how well that'll translate to nonVR but I'm sure they'll rework it accordingly.
@abe_hikura How have you been enjoying your Quest? I currently have the CV1 which I love but the setup has lost its viability.
@InterceptorAlpha well I'm really enjoy my Quest 1 but I primary use it "standalone" so it's a bit hard to compare to the CV1 since it's running games of what's basically tablet hardware not a PC but not having to worry about the wire is amazing. In the weeping angel bit I talked about before ended with me jumping backwards 3 meters and (nicely) crashing onto the sofa. I'm really looking forward to the quest release of Walking Dead.
Note: according to those who got the Quest 2 early it can play PCVR wirelessly at 90hz with "about the same" latency as the Quest 1 with link.
Is it at least written better than the last 2 seasons?
Don't have a problem with Jodie, just the writing.
Please don't have a weeping angels level.
"Don't blink"
@PhhhCough Well, I have some bad news...
The VR experience was hard going. Once you've learnt in to examine something ( I wanted to have a good nosey at the TARDIS console!) The whole scene would push away from your face. Very disconcerting in VR
I would think that with the changes they're making it will end up being a better game, but do think they should have fixed VR first
