Today gave us our very first look at Codemasters' Dirt 5 running on the Xbox Series X, and while impressions have generally been positive, some outlets and fans have pointed out a handful of minor issues with the preview build, including occasional instances of screen tearing.
Nevertheless, the game still runs very impressively on the system (you can see an example of this in the excellent Digital Foundry video above), and Dirt 5 technical director David Springate has taken to Twitter to confirm that the dev team has "made a lot of improvements" since this build was sent out:
Springate also directly addressed the concerns surrounding screen tearing, telling a fan that the studio has "been working hard in the last few weeks since this build was made to get the performance up."
You'll be able to get behind the wheel in Dirt 5 for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on November 10th, and the game launches a few days earlier on November 7th for Xbox One, leveraging Smart Delivery across all three consoles.

@Menchi @playstation_king Diminishing returned in yo face.
In the end truth shall prevail. 🦄🤧🤮
I applaud Codemasters for getting a preview build out to give us an idea of how it will run. Coverage of this shows they are excited about their game and developing for the new consoles. Hope they don’t get slammed too by people trying to find fault with Next Gen consoles.
@Senua
Sounds like me a white English in the hot summer sun, Slower and hotter 🤣
Then again the console is white 🤣🤣
@Senua Not sure why I'm tagged since this has nothing to do with the article or what I said. Or anything at all for that matter.
@Senua you are such a fanboy... sad really.
Why don't you try to make a comment about this particular article instead of trying to derail it it with that unverified fanboy nonsense of yours.
@Menchi @rpg2000 just hit ignore the sites much better without it
@themightyant I should, but I get a kick out of mental gymnastics fanboys tend to pull. In kind of a sad way.
@Menchi isn’t that an excercise in futility?
