Psychological horror game Observer: System Redux is a "definitive vision" of the 2017 Xbox One game Observer from the developer behind Layers of Fear, and developer Bloober Team has released a new video showing off what we can expect from the game on the Xbox Series X.
As you can see, it looks to be a huge upgrade from the 2017 original, featuring immersive environments, volumetric lighting, global illumination, HDR and raytracing and more. It's safe to say we're impressed!
The game officially launches for Xbox Series X this Holiday, but has no specific release date as of yet.
Veteran Observers can dive deeper into this dystopian reality thanks to expanded gameplay and brand-new story content, while newcomers will get the chance to experience this cyberpunk thriller in all its chilling next-gen glory.
Excited for this? Did you enjoy the original Observer? Let us know in the comments.

The Gears 5 unoptimised gameplay demo running on XSX shown earlier this year - that alone is enough to make the high price of Xbox Series X absolutely worth it. Next couple of months will be all about the most awaited Cyberpunk 2077 and Ubisoft behemoths and only next-gen graphics 93-Metacritic Microsoft Flight Simulator anyway, really looking forward to ray tracing update for XSX.
Horror games need great visuals more than most other genres, so I am glad this redux looks so good on XSX.
I don't really like horror games much in the first place, but those improvements in the graphics are pretty significant! I am pretty impressed myself.
Good game, might play this again.
I’m hoping there is a physical release for this game. The original was digital only (with a PS4 limited run release.)
