This week's major release for the Xbox One, and Xbox Game Pass for that matter, is Obsidian Entertainment's small but big backyard adventure, Grounded.
A few days ago, we heard how the game enjoyed a very successful start on Valve's Steam platform, and now the game's director himself, Adam Brennecke, has taken to Twitter to share a more official update - revealing more than one million players have tried out this cooperative survival-adventure since it launched. He also shared this over on Xbox Wire.
It's quite an impressive feat considering how the game was developed by a small team of 13 people in just a few years. As also noted, there'll be monthly updates and the first one is currently scheduled for 27th August. Keep an eye out for more information about this in the near future.
Until then, tell us - have you played Grounded yet? What are your thoughts? Leave a comment below.

And people were making fun of this game & ripping Microsoft for “ruining Obsidian”......😂
Microsoft is killing it on Steam lately! Making easy $.
But Xbox One only has Gears, Halo and Forza... 😂
I must say I highly enjoy the game (even though I play solo).
I usually don’t care about games like ARK and other similar survival games.
But the world is incredibly beautiful, the mechanics are fun.
I just wish it was already fully released, so now I wonder if I should spend time in it or not.
This was great fun. I did the story content a couple of times as it's very small. Then loaded it up again and just built my base and had fun.
There is a huge amount of potential with this game. The core mechanics are very solid, it's tricky but fair and just plays well.
Hoping this gets updated frequently. A few tweaks needed here and there (the robot upgrades are very pricey)(sleeping costs way too much water and food) but this could end up being one of my favourite Xbox games over time
Is it couch multiplay, does anyone know?
@dAvecaster Not currently. Its single player offline and multiplayer online.
Its in early access and I wouldn't be surprised if Couch Co-op is added at a later date. In fairness there's still a fair bit for Obsidian to do but the groundwork is very good in my opinion.
@pip_muzz thank you
