The Xbox One X Might Have Been Discontinued In Australia

Update: It's official - Microsoft is discontinuing the Xbox One X, as well as the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition. In a statement to The Verge, the company explained the reason behind the move:

“As we ramp into the future with Xbox Series X, we’re taking the natural step of stopping production on Xbox One X and Xbox One S All-Digital Edition. Xbox One S will continue to be manufactured and sold globally.”

Original story: Rumours and speculation have ramped up recently that the Xbox One line of consoles might be discontinued sooner rather than later, and while an Xbox exec recently noted that the standard Xbox One S is "very much still available," it looks like the more powerful Xbox One X might have already been discontinued.

Australian outlet Press Start says that it's confirmed with retailers EB Games and JB Hi-Fi that they aren't expecting more stock of the console, which has been pulled off their online stores.

Furthermore, the Xbox One X isn't showing any longer on the Microsoft Store in Australia, and while it's still listed in other regions, there appears to be very few bundles and barely any stock available. Even the standard 1TB Xbox One X console has disappeared entirely from the Great Britain Microsoft Store.
