We had our first look at Halo Infinite gameplay as part of the Xbox Games Showcase earlier today, and 343 Industries has since released a handful of new images for the game via the official Halo forums.
The Microsoft Store also lists a selection of new details about the game, revealing that more information on multiplayer and Forge will be revealed later this year, and that it will feature cross-platform play across Xbox and PC.

I am one of the people who actually really enjoyed Halo 5, although it was an overall disappointing game. I was really excited by what they showed today in the demo. It looks like they are getting back to the spirit of the originals, while still adding some new flavor to it. I liked the look of it as well. The 343 Halo games are sometimes a little over designed, like Chief's armor, and this one looks much more cleaner and stripped down to the basics. Really looking forward to this.

I was encouraged by the very small sample we got today. Open world Halo is a thing now and it makes a lot of sense. Can’t wait to see how it plays on the Series X this Holiday!

I understand. For me, there's nothing else quite like Halo, and I like that Infinite feels like Halo. For example, DOOM 2016 might've been the game that the franchise needed going forward, but it doesn't feel like DOOM to me.
