Last week, screenshots were leaked of an upcoming Xbox Store redesign on consoles, which appears to be heading to Xbox One and Xbox Series X in the future. And now, Windows Central is reporting that the Xbox app for Android and iOS is also being rebuilt from the ground-up.
According to the website's sources, the app is said to be in early development, currently with missing interactivity and basic features. It also apparently might be losing various features such as Xbox Clubs and the Activity Feed, although it's noted these could be added back at a further date.
The idea behind the overhaul is to reportedly "compliment the rest of its services on mobile devices," with the new app said to "match the design language of the upcoming Xbox Store redesign and other more recent Xbox apps." It's suggested the app could be ready for the launch of the Xbox Series X.
