Don't Worry, Call Of Duty Modern Warfare's Season 4 Update Isn't 84GB

Update (Thu 11th Jun, 2020 19:50 BST): Activision Support has released a new statement saying the issue has been resolved, but we're getting conflicting reports from fans.

For some who have already begun downloading the 84GB update, cancelling it is apparently deleting their games entirely. If you're in this boat, it might be best to just wait it out.

We'll let you know if Activision releases any further information about this.

Thank you for your patience, this issue is resolved. Please reach out to us again if you're still experiencing this issue.

Original story (Thu 11th Jun, 2020 11:10 BST): If you've already logged onto your Xbox One today to download the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 4 and Call of Duty: Warzone update, you will have been in for a shock! For some players, it's currently showing a whopping file size of 84.6GB, but according to Activision it's just an unfortunate bug.

The company says it's currently investigating the issue, with the actual file size appearing to hover around the (still pretty large) 33GB mark. Until then, you might want to hold off downloading for a little while, as we're not sure what happens if you grab the unintended 84GB update.

As always, we'll let you know when we hear more. In the meantime, you can check out the full patch notes for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 4 update at the game's official website.
