There's been some talk about the potential of two upcoming reveal events for Microsoft in regards to the Xbox Series X, with the first rumoured to be happening in early May. And now, according to new information, it seems both Microsoft and Sony could be planning reveals for next month.
Niko Partners senior analyst Daniel Ahmad weighed in on the plans in a tweet, noting that due to E3 2020's cancellation, various reveals and announcements have been moved. Some of these are said to now take place earlier or later, while he also mentioned that "the first proper next-gen console/games showcase is much earlier too":
Adding to this, Video Games Chronicle noted that one person with knowledge of Sony's plans told the website that a major PS5 reveal could be happening in May. Furthermore, the website suggested that rumours of Microsoft planning Xbox Series X reveals in May matches what it's been told as well.
The big caveat to this, which Daniel Ahmad mentioned in a follow-up tweet, is that plans could always change quite suddenly due the unprecedented situation surrounding the coronavirus pandemic. However, based on everything we're hearing at the moment, it certainly looks like May could be a very busy month indeed.
What are you hoping to see from the Xbox Series X May reveal event? Let us know in the comments.

It would be nice to see some games. And maybe they could tell us about the price.
Halo Infinite? New Fable? New Perfect Dark?
Can I dream a new Project Gotham Racing?
Well they have to start showing games soon. Tho I really believe neither will release this year, I don't even think there will be a massive appetite for a £400-£500 console this year, going on the fact unemployment is skyrocketing and economies are tanking
In the event in May, I am assuming Microsoft will go hardware & some game announcements. Maybe a studio acquisition?
Then for their e3 digital event in June, I am sure that is where we will get most of the game announcements.
As far as Sony goes.....who knows? Rumors of issues with the console have surfaced. So I guess we’ll see.
It's good for gamers that Sony and M$ keep each other under pressure.
