To the surprise of few, both DOOM Eternal and Animal Crossing: New Horizons have dominated the UK charts this week. Both games were released last Friday (although were sold early by various retailers), and have enjoyed fantastic starts as previously expected.
Elsewhere, it's been a fantastic week for Crash Bandicoot, with both the N. Sane Trilogy and Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled games re-entering the top ten. Red Dead Redemption 2 also climbs back into the list after slightly missing out last month, while Forza Horizon 4 jumps all the way from 25th to 8th.
Here's a look at this week's top ten all formats chart:
Last Week | This Week | Game |
---|---|---|
New Entry | 1 | Animal Crossing: New Horizons |
New Entry | 2 | DOOM Eternal |
4 | 3 | Call of Duty: Modern Warfare |

Welp, he still beat COD. That's all that matters in my book.
No shame in losing to animal crossing that game is gonna sell at least 12 million copies..
Go Isabelle, go!
Animal Crossing is excellent, Nintendo really nailed it this time
That’s crazy that a 1st party game outsold a huge 3rd party release (that is getting great reviews, no less) like this.
You gotta hand it to those Nintendo fans. They are loyal as heck.
This is a nice chart. Everybody is well represented, and I'm very happy to see FH4 still selling well. It's proof that, "if you build it (great), they will come."
