As you've probably heard, Microsoft's first-party Xbox studios have been working remotely from home for the past few weeks due to the coronavirus outbreak. This includes one of the company's most recent acquisitions, Double Fine. Up until then, Tim Schafer's team had been hard at work making Psychonauts 2 "as good as possible" since it was delayed.

So how is the project going now that the office is off-limits – could there be any potential setbacks because of the virus? A fan asked Double Fine's official Twitter account this exact question recently. At this point in time, it's hard to say and the developer isn't making any promises, either:

It's worth pointing out the fact Double Fine hasn't locked in an exact release date for Psychonauts 2 just yet, all that is known is it's scheduled to arrive at some point this year on all previously promised platforms including Xbox One.

343 Industries, last week provided its own update on Halo Infinite and the PC version of The Masterchief Collection, stating how it would do everything in its power to continue the development and delivery of its games, despite having to work from home.

Fingers crossed Psychonauts stays on course for a 2020 release.
