There's a lot of excitement around Battlefield 6 right now as EA and BF Studios prepare to drop their first mainline release in four years - so we're going to get you up to speed with everything you need to know for the upcoming launch.

Battlefield 6 Xbox Release Date

Battlefield 6 launches on Friday, October 10th for Xbox Series X|S (October 11th in certain regions).

There's no public early access available for BF6.

Everyone will be able to play Battlefield 6 at the same moment - the timing of which depends on your region.

Battlefield 6 goes live at 8am PDT / 11am EDT / 4pm BST / 5pm CEST on October 10th. Here's the full release times map, provided by EA:

Is Battlefield 6 On Xbox Game Pass / EA Play?

Battlefield 6 does not launch on Xbox Game Pass or EA Play for console, although it is in the EA Play Pro service for PC.

However, Game Pass Ultimate / EA Play users will be able to get 10% off the purchase price at launch - coming in at $62.99 / £62.99.

The game is then expected to join the Game Pass Ultimate / EA Play library sometime after release (usually about a year or so post-launch).

Battlefield 6 Install Size Xbox Series X|S

As we recently covered here at Pure Xbox, BF6 is a substantially different download size depending on your Xbox console of choice.

The Series X version is roughly 76.5GB with everything installed, and the Series S version is coming in at just over 43GB.

Battlefield 6 Modes & Post-Launch Content

On release, Battlefield 6 has three core modes: single-player campaign, multiplayer, and the creation toolset Portal.

The team has also detailed some of what we can expect to come to the game shortly after launch, including two new MP maps, two additional game modes, a limited-time event map, fresh weapons and more.
