@ZeD Oh snap. I actually didnt get a chance to jump on tonight, was actually busy with Borderlands 4. But yeah the new season is going to keep me busy for awhile.

@Tasuki this is the first Forza that I am really getting my teeth into. In past ones I might just drop in once in a while.
Took me a good moment to understand how the season work. Tbh, I am still a little confused by it, but I just keep doing events as I come across them.
Currently playing:
Forza Horizon 6 🏎️ | Series X
Assassin's Creed Odyssey ⚔️ | Series X
@ZeD This is the third Horizon game I am going fully into so to speak. I played 3 a few years ago and just wrapped up 2 a few months ago both solid games. I also dabbled a bit with the first one and 4. That is the thing that I love about the Horizon series just the fact that you can just do what you want. You want to do only certain races you can you just want to drive around tbe map and take in the sights you can. You want to go around an look for PR stunts you can. The Forza Horizon games are my chill games, always have one installed just for when I feel like chilling and driving around the map.
I am not a big fan of the Motorsport series but that is to be expect as they play totally different.

Got my first wristband yesterday the yellow one oddly enough I didnt complete any Horizon races, just got enough XP from the bonus boards and such. Mostly doing the discovery Japan stuff. With that said, I do have 3 barn cars now, and 3 Treasure cars. I cant say enough how chill this game is.
On a side note due to FH6 being one of Xbox's biggest releases current I would think that people would be all over it but appearently not as is evidence from this thread. I figured there would be alot more activity here.

@Tasuki I'm too busy playing the game to post here, haha. But otherwise, I'm also playing it now!
I'm a few hours in but I can already tell this is going to become my favourite Forza Horizon game. I love Japan, so having this game take place there makes the experience so much better. I love the environments, and Tokyo city, as well as the rural towns, are all so well-realised. The fact that exploration is more emphasised in this game is also very nice. It feels cool to slowly uncover the map and discover new regions.
My favourite part of the game is the radio stations. Not only is there a Japan-specific one (which I absolutely adore, I'm currently listening to the playlist on Spotify!) but there's also a station with synthwave music, which I also love. It's like this game is tailor-made for me!
Also really cool that you can drive through all trees now. We've come a long way from the first Forza Horizon where you could barely drive through anything and now you can drive through pretty much everything in the environment. It's so much more fun now.
@LtSarge Yeah fair enough I suppose. But still I would think there would be alot more activity here, people discussing their favorite cars, how the are tuning them, what races they are enjoying etc. But since it came out this thread has been a ghost town kinda strange for Forza Horizon's biggest launch.
But yeah there is so much to discover as I said in my previous post I havent done many races just been driving around collecting barn cars and treasure cars and mascot and such. And yeah totally agree with the music it just adds to the immersion of the game. I was actually surprised when I was driving and heard Baby Metal start playing .
FH6 is quickly becoming my favorite one in the series. I have yet to mess around with the houses but I heard those are alot of fun especially when you start building race tracks and such.
You got any favorite cars yet?

So out of the cars I've gotten, 2021 Mercedes-AMG ONE from FH5 is my favourite one so far. High speed and a 10 in acceleration, it's perfect for getting three stars on those speed traps early on.
But if you want my favourite car that I've gotten through natural progression, it has to be Golf Volkswagen. Very small but speedy car that's useful in cross-country races. I bought it through the aftermarket feature in this game. I absolutely love this concept of finding used cars in different areas and buying them cheaper than through the regular car store.
@LtSarge Funny enough I got all the cars from previous FH games except for 5 since that's the only one I never played. I really like the one from FH2 but then again I always liked that one.
Great shout out to the aftermarket cars, that has got to be one of my favorite new features added to this game. I manged to get a blue Subaru which like the car you got is a compact car that is just perfect for zipping around the streets of Tokyo.
My favorite though is the 69 Dodge, the old Dukes of Hazzard one. That car in itself has always been a favorite of mine so when a racing game has one I usually get it. I just like the raw power of the American Muscle cars especially Dodges. Once to get drifting down in that car its so satisfying especially when you see all these other Japanese cars drifting and then BAM here comes this American Muscle lol.

Just been cruising around the past few days. Got a few more barn finds and such. I am about to get the next wristband which is green I believe and I am up to the third sticker for the Drive Japan section. Its so funny how much I got done and still only did a handful of races. Its funny cause I am not purposely avoiding the races, I am just distracted by all the exploring stuff lol. When I start the game up, the first thing I do is look at the map and see what just looks interesting to me. If I dont have much time to play then I will look to see in an area where I can get a bunch of mascots or XP Boards and just cruise around grabbing them. I will say the things that has most my attention is the barn finds and treasure cars so when I get an alert for those then I will stop what I am doing and go seek those out.
Quick question anyone know how the season stuff works at all. I did a few of the season stuff cause it looked like there was only a few hours left to do them and they gave out cars if you won the championships but other than that I am not quite sure how they work.

Each series lasts 1 month and is made up of 4 seasons that each last 1 week. The season changes at 3:30 PM BST every Thursday.
Completing something in the seasonal playlist will turn it gold to denote you've completed it, and award you a number of points. Those points contribute to unlocking the main seasonal rewards, which are typically 2 cars. There are also individual rewards for each playlist item, which you can see by looking at them.
The seasonal championships each consist of 3 races and all of those can be played in co-op with randoms, which is the best way to play them IMO, as if your team wins the first 2 races it's over, compared to doing it solo where there's a points-based system and you have to do all 3 races.
Currently the daily challenge playlist is bugged and you can complete daily challenges that have not unlocked yet.
If you complete all of the playlist items in a season, that unlocks the "Played-List" achievement, worth 30 gamerscore.
It's definitely worth playing through all of the seasonal playlist stuff for the rewards.
@SigmaTheDJ Thanks, I was wondering how long a season was. I notice that there was a timer on the season events the other day but wasnt sure if that was till the events were replaced with new ones or what. Already got a few done yesterday for Autumn will be looking at getting a few more done this weekend.

So I found all treasure cars yesterday so I can check those off my list. Also did some of the seasonal stuff as well and got all the mascots in the Tokyo region. So a pretty fulfilling weekend on FH6.

I started it over the weekend, after finishing my 100% play through of LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga, and I'm enjoying it so far. To be fair, I've only been playing for an hour or two and not really done much apart from getting the yellow wrist band, but I've enjoyed what I've played.
@crippyd I have played about 18 hours so far and I still havent dont much in the way of Horizon progression, but I have done alot in the way of Discover Japan progression. I think wristband wise I am only to green, the second one and thats only because of the bonus boards. I mean I did a do the season stuff so that probably counts towards some of the Horizon stuff.
This game just handles playing at your own pace perfectly. I can just jump on I do whatever I want I dont feel any pressure to do this or do that. Just a perfect chill game.

I've done all of the seasonal stuff that can be done so far. They have fixed the bug where you could complete daily challenges that haven't unlocked yet.
I initially didn't notice that the drift challenge had to be done in a Dodge, so at first I wondered why that wasn't unlocking. Also, a lot of people seem to be going to the big stadium at the bottom-left of the map to do the photo challenge, but that is not the right place.
They really need to fix the AI skill level when doing seasonal tournaments in co-op. In one of them, our team lapped the AI as they were so slow in comparison. There is no challenge there at all.
@SigmaTheDJ I know you have to be inside the stadium to get credit for it not outside. I have done a good amount of the season stuff. Mostly the races and a few other things. So far I am enjoying winter alot. I am mainly waiting for spring and Cherry Blossom season!!

Got a good amount done this weekend in FH6. I managed to get all the soybean mascots and ramen mascots and even found time to race down Mount Haruna, which to you Initial D fans is Mount Akina. Still cant put this game down it is so addictive. I actually got my son into it, his mother and my roommate lol.
Will be finishing up the seasonal stuff tonight and probably going for the next wristband, I still need to do that. As of now I am level 83.
