Topic: Got me a new Series X and the "A" and "X" buttons are sticky, how long do I give it?

Have about 10 hours game play so far in the 3 days. Might be fine 30 minutes then the A will stick a bit, same with X but not as bad. Is this a rare instance or has anyone else had this happen

How long should I give this before I decide to return or something?

Get them to a repair center to get them cleaned, otherwise they may stay sticky for a while. I would know. Sticky buttons rarely wear off.

I had this happen when my Starfield controller came in.

What I ended up doing was cotton swabbing the buttons with alcohol, multiple separate treatments.

That ended up working for me and the buttons don't stick anymore.
