I love me some fighting games - Street Fighter IV and King of Fighters, but particularly Virtua Fighter 5. It's the first series I ever really got interested in technically, and watching high-level players is absolutely fascinating (to me anyway ).
On the subject of fighting games, I'd love a new Power Stone. The second one was aces!
I used to play them a lot, Soul Caliber, Tekken but the stress got too much lol
Have you tried playing slower paced ones like Virtua Fighter and some older 2D fighters? Personally, I find those to be less stressful than the ones you listed.
I LOVE fighting games. My brother and I are eagerly awaiting Marvel vs Capcom 3.
Right now I'm still love Super Smash Brothers Brawl (sometimes play Melee but I'm no where near as good on that one). I used to play Capcom vs SNK 2, Street Fighter 4, Virtua Fighter 5, and Tekken 6 but my brother got annoyingly good at beating me so yeah
As far as Kinect goes, I'm liking the sound of this Codename: Kingdoms from Crytek. It doesn't sound like a traditional fighting game persay (closer to the likes of God of War) but I'd be over the moon if they added some sort of 2-person Xbox Live versus mode...
I played alot of fighting games in the mid to late 90's mainly Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, nowadays not so much even though I do own SFIV and Street Fighter X Tekken. I dont know why but I guess its just cause I cant put in as much time as I could back than and learn the moves and strategies and keep up with them to give me a fighting chance against others.

I play MK 9 pretty regularly on both the PS3 and Vita. Other than that, don't play too many fighting games these days, though I am looking forward to Injustice.
I think I fell out of love with fighting games after about Tekken 3. Don't know why, but the genre just didn't really appeal to me anymore. The closest I get to it these days would be the likes of Fight Night

Yeah I have to say I played my share of MK VS DC or whatever it is called one of the best fighters I think this gen. I haven't played the reboot of MK and Injustice is one of the games I am looking forward to this year.
@KenB: Yeah thats about when I stopped too was Tekken 3 on PS. Although I played Tekken 4, 5 and I own 6 I just could never get into them like I use to. About the closest I get to a fighting game now is the WWE games.

Smash Bros. is fun, but that's not a traditional fighting game. Never gets old to play it though. The online multiplayer sucks too, so hopefully the new one on the 3DS & Wii U fixes that. Those games should be patchable, so worst case scenario is we have to wait for a patch.

I dont know buy I just cant get into the Smash Bros games. I played the first one on the N64 and the one on Gamecube and neither of them grabbed my attention. I guess they just weren't for me.

I'm the same. I really never saw what drew people in to playing them, kept them playing them, and then made them so desperate for a version on every platform ever. Fun for ten minutes, sure, but folks certainly seem to go absolutely crazy over those games.
The only thing I can figure out is its a generational thing. I mean when that came out on N64 fighters like Streetfigher and MK were dieing down, it was time for a new challenger (pun intended) and Smash Bros was there at the right time.

Im a 2D fighter addict. I think 2D fighters seem to be in my Saturn and Dreamcast more than anything else. Just got done playing some Street Fighter Alpha 3 on Dreamcast not too long ago.

I love the idea of fighting games, can't play them worth a damn. I love the way they look but I despise the stupid archaic "Remember this long string of random buttons to do a single move" game play that they all have.
I love Smash Bros, though. I feel like more fighting games should have a simple set up like that, and allow the combos to flow naturally through combining those simple attacks instead of being triggered by what are essentially codes.
The best strategy in the game: go up stairs and pause balls.
