Seven Xbox-Related Events To Look Out For At Gamescom 2025

We've got a busy week ahead of us! Gamecom 2025 is taking place in Germany, and we've got loads of exciting showcases to look forward to as part of it - including a couple of Xbox broadcasts on Wednesday and Thursday.

So, down below, we've picked out the must-see Gamescom 2025 events over the next few days, as well as a couple of intriguing smaller ones that you might not have heard of before. Let's go!

Gamescom Opening Night Live (August 19)

The main highlight of Gamescom 2025 is the Gamescom Opening Night Live showcase on Tuesday, August 19th, which is set to bring us around two hours' worth of reveals, including for some of the biggest upcoming Xbox releases.

Gamescom Opening Night Live's start time is 11am PT / 2pm ET / 7pm BST on August 19th. As usual, we'll be hosting the entire show live here at Pure Xbox, complete with a full recap of everything that was revealed.

Xbox At Gamescom 2025 - Day One (August 20)

The first of two Xbox livestreams at Gamescom 2025 will kick off on August 20th, bringing us closer looks at a lot of upcoming Xbox games, as well as important news on the ROG Xbox Ally handheld(s) releasing later this year.

You can watch this at 6am PT / 9am ET / 2pm BST on the 20th, and it's expected to last for around three hours. You won't miss anything here at Pure Xbox - we'll have the live stream along with a recap of everything that was revealed.

Into the Infinite: A Level Infinite Showcase 2025 (August 20)

Fancy something a little different? We're getting a new version of the 'Into the Infinite' showcase on Wednesday, and although it's not a massive event for Xbox news by any means, it still might be worth a watch. The 2024 version included new reveals for Age of Empires: Mobile, Parcel Corps, Warhammer: Vermintide 2 and others.

If you fancy squeezing this one into your schedule between the Xbox broadcast and the Future Games Show, it'll be available to watch on YouTube at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST on August 20th.

Future Games Show At Gamescom 2025 (August 20)

We've got another Future Games Show taking place as part of Gamescom 2025 this year, and we're big fans of these events - they're always full of announcements for some great-looking games, many of which will come to Xbox.

You can watch the Future Games Show 2025 at 11am PT / 2pm ET / 7pm BST on August 20th, and we'll have a full recap of all the Xbox-related announcements following the event's conclusion.

Xbox At Gamescom 2025 - Day Two (August 21)

The second of two livestreams from Xbox will take place on August 21st, and we're expecting this one to be a more low-key affair compared to the day before. That said, there's always the hope for a few surprises along the way!

Just like last time, this show takes place at 6am PT / 9am ET / 2pm BST, and you'll be able to watch the full thing here at Pure Xbox. We'll have a full roundup of what was revealed for both days as well.

Gamescom Awesome Indies 2025 (August 21)

Here's another one that you might not have come across before! Although they don't make a huge deal about it, Gamescom hosts an "Awesome Indies" show every year featuring lots of small games, many of which will be PC-only, but some of which will make their way to Xbox as well.

There's no YouTube link for this one at the time of writing, but it should appear on the Gamescom YouTube channel nearer the time, and the start time looks set to be 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm BST - right after the Xbox show has ended.

Bethesda At Gamescom 2025 (August 22-24)

If you want more Gamescom coverage as the week comes to a close, it's worth checking out the Bethesda Twitch channel for "developer interviews, game showcases, community segments, crafting highlights, and live IRL tours".

We're not expecting any major news out of this, but it still should prove an interesting watch. Xbox Wire is promoting it as only being available on the Bethesda DE Twitch channel, and there's no formal start time for it as things stand (for what it's worth, last year's began at 5am PT / 8am ET / 1pm BST on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
