Opinion: It's Nice To See ActiBlizz Titles Coming To Xbox Game Pass, But We Want More

June's Xbox Game Pass additions are starting to wind down now, but before we move into the July 2025 lineup, we do have a nice batch of ActiBlizz titles to come. Following Crash 4's arrival earlier in the month, three Warcraft titles are coming to PC Game Pass next week, alongside the next Call Of Duty addition at the end of the month. While this is all good stuff and we're glad the library is being built out, we would like to see a bit more effort with the ABK catalogue in particular.

For instance, those three Warcraft additions next week are all PC-only for now, and that's a trend we've continued to see for older Blizzard titles. Converting those PC-centric games to console would of course be a bigger undertaking than these simple PC remasters, but their XGP release seems like the ideal time to do such a thing. Even if the team just focused on getting the games working well on an Xbox controller with the same visuals, we'd take it.

Of course, we're also getting another Call of Duty game in the library on June 30th in the form of COD: WWII. We're big fans of this addition — we actually think it's the best Call of Duty game from the last generation — but we're still waiting on some of those classic COD games from the 360 era to join the library. Some of them are desperate for a fresh injection to their player bases these days!

Still, despite these grievances with how Microsoft is handling the ActiBlizz library compared to say, Bethesda when they joined the Xbox family, we are finally seeing the pace improve - which we're definitely grateful for. We spoke about this topic last November and things have certainly improved since then, with multiple COD, Crash and Spyro games now in the library. We just want more from ABK, and we hope to see its catalogue continue to be brought over to Xbox Game Pass in thoughtful ways over the coming months.
