So you're browsing your local retailer's Xbox One and Xbox 360 section and have no idea what new games were released this week. No one seems willing to help and you feel alone and scared. Surely, there must be a way — an easy way — to get the info on the latest releases. Rest your worried head young Spartan, because at pX we got you covered on what's hitting retail stores and the Games Store.

Brutal mixed martial arts comes to Xbox One this week through the incredibly detailed EA SPORTS UFC. This is the latest entry following the THQ-published UFC Undisputed games and is thus far, receiving pretty favourable reviews. Much is being talked about the game's grappling mechanic which allows for more movement and devastating strikes. A playable demo is available to try before you buy.

Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack (XBLA)

We loved this game on PS Vita and now Xbox fans can enjoy this simple but awesome platformer. You start out as a small gelatinous mutant blob that becomes gradually bigger the more things you pick up and devour. Each mission requires you to eat and grow in order to overcome various obstacles. It's an absolute delight and it comes highly recommended.

We know there are a ton of UFC fans ready to pick up the latest competitive fighter from EA, but we also love Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack — and for that price, it's pretty hard to pass up too. Having said that, both are quality releases and Xbox gamers should check out both.

Eh, looks like I'm gonna be waiting a few more months before I have a game to play on my new console. Nothing's catching my interest, guess I'll have to wait until Sunset Overdrive.

That's cool though. I bought this console for exclusives only, so naturally they're going to be spaced apart quite a bit.
