This has convinced me to get an Xbox One soon after launch. I'm an avid Insanity user, and this will give me direct feedback through Kinect and access to other Beach Body workouts that would cost over $100 each on their own.
This is a really smart business decision when it comes to getting units out there. To buy all of the individual workouts on their own would cost $450. To someone who's interested in getting in shape, or is already in the process, then this will be incredibly enticing. It also helps that these are world-known work-outs and are known to work. I've lost over 70 pounds through Insanity.
The XBOX One does too many things for Microsoft to show an effective commercial in 30 seconds. I like this approach. It conveys a specific thing the device can do really well, so the people who are interested in that specific thing can know it does it better than anything they've currently got.
The XBOX One will be a great video game device. But people are forgetting that its also probably going to be the best multimedia device that connects to a TV ever made. The OS looks slick, and they'd be foolish to not advertise it, especially since the people that are going to want a fantastic multimedia device are going to greatly outnumber the people who want a fantastic gaming machine at this point in time, what with the current systems still on a roll, at least in the United States.
Also, the chances are pretty high that Microsoft will be sending out an advertising blitz for the XBOX One. There will be tons of commercials and internet adds for the thing, and with this approach, they can specifically target the audience that that particular television network or website pertain to.
500 GB will probably be enough for most people over the lifetime of the system. Few would likely need that much space before a year passes, so I think this is fine. You've got to have your priorities.
I love how he phrases it. "I'm allowed to say 'meh'".
Just like how I'm allowed to say "meh" when my neighbor drives his new Lamborghini into his driveway.
@Tasuki I don't know about that. Reggie is the president of Nintendo's American branch. He's supposed to be unwaveringly dedicated to making Nintendo's products look as good as they can be. It's his job.

Interesting. I hope it works out for Bethesda.
Re: Talking Point: What Future Features Do You Want From Kinect?
How about a good game for hardcore gamers? One that can only be done using Kinect.
