I doubt anyone would trust a foreign Russian Console anytime soon. It's not like Xbox is going to DIE like Atari and SEGA did, but Microsoft needs to try harder and take the Gaming War more seriously!

Nice analysis. I am a proud owner of a 2024 Xbox Series S reboot, and I will love Xbox for a long time. HOWEVER, they really try to trick people up with Game Pass Ultimate. Xbox was way more successful with the Xbox One and original Series X and Disc drives, but now its practically impossible to own an Xbox and enjoy certain EA games and Ubisoft games without having Game Pass. If I were to BUY Madden 25, I would need Game Pass anyway just to play multiplayer online. I mostly play Star Wars Battlefront (as my profile picture says 😊) but I always need Game Pass to play multiplayer. So even if I wanted to buy it, Game Pass is important.

I am a diehard Xbox fan, and I don't want to leave my Microsoft account. As much as I like PlayStation, I have a strong history and liking to Xbox. I own a Series S and it has outstanding performance. The new Digital Series X is very nice as well, but I would be quite disappointed if Xbox became just another PC. They call it x-BOX for a reason. It's a box and a console. If they want it to be a PC, they should have named it X-Computer. I don't think consoles are going away, they're just becoming digital and more accessible. Xbox One and the Xbox Series X are the last of the Disc drive years, UNLESS Xbox decided to make a console that had a disc drive AND digital games, just like the PS5. I love Xbox! DO BETTER and FIX IT, MICROSOFT!

Does anyone else miss the Xbox One. I remember when it was just me, my cousins, and 60 FPS gameplays. At the time, 60 FPS was impressive back then in 2017, now we have 120 FPS and higher. I own a Series S but still love the Xbox One S and X

I am glad to be an owner of an Xbox Series S, an it has outstanding performance for such a small Xbox. Small, but mighty. I've been wondering about Game Pass Ultimate. I mainly use Xbox Game Pass to play EA games like Star Wars Battlefront and Madden 22, but since I play those so much I am considering actually buying the games outright instead of renewing Game Pass, but it seems like even if I buy the game digitally, I still need Game Pass to play Online Multiplayer. Is this true? I need to know before I buy, because then I might as well just get Game Pass alone.

@Blinx I see that it's another option, but now it looks almost identical to the 512 GB Series S, but now the Series S is Carbon Black 1TB and the Series X is 2TB SSD. They kind of switched personalities I guess.... from a certain point of view. But you did make a good point. 👍

Games that can switch between First and Third Person are awesome to me. I typically play Third Person in games like Star Wars Battlefront, GTA, or Just Cause, but First Person in Call of Duty, Battlefield, or Stalker 2 is fun too. I happen to play Xbox360 and Xbox Originals just for nostalgia.

Does Xbox Game Pass Core mean that you can't play EA games AT ALL? Like if I were to buy Xbox Game Pass Core, would I be able to still play Madden, Star Wars Battlefront, Mirror's Edge, and Battlefield 2042? I always stick with Game Pass Ultimate, but I was curious.

@OldGamer999 They're mainly trying to focus on the benefits of Game Pass and Cloud Gaming. Game Pass Ulitmate only came out a few years ago, and the era Digital Disc-less Gaming is upon us. They might as well keep up! Plus, I don't think Xbox One or Series X Disc Drives are going away anytime soon. They still support the CDs and encourage physical drives.

Do you have the Twi'lek Girl skin in Battlefront 1 and 2? She is my favorite, as well as Clone Commando and ISB Agent. Does anyone still play Battlefront 2015? I've always played Battlefront 2 but I just started Battlefront 2015 this year.... kinda late to the party right? 😂

I'd also consider buying the actual games and not the Classic Collection. I bought Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2005) and plan to buy Star Wars Battlefront (2004). Then I will have all 4 Battlefront games, but I don't plan on buying Classic Collection anytime soon.

Star Wars Outlaws also has glitches with the Stormtroopers. Sometimes I can run up to them and they don't even notice me or try to kill me. I literally shot a random trooper and they stood there doing nothing. Hopefully they will go back to Imperial Training Camp and learn to shoot at me better. 😂😂😂

EA made me mad when they stepped away from Star Wars Battlefront. I always play that game and they stopped just so that Battlefield 2042 could live. As much as I love Battlefield its just another Call of Duty copycat. Sorry EA!

I will say that Xbox Series X lost so much aura when it went digital a few weeks ago.😂😂😂 Now the Xbox Series X is just a bigger version of the Series S 😂

Do people still play EA DICE games? I know people still play Star Wars Battlefront still, but is Battlefield and Mirror's Edge still active? I really like the FROSTBITE game engine. Its somewhat similar to GTA V's RAGE Physics Engine.

@PsBoxSwitchOwner I always do that! Whenever I play Game Pass I can't stop, but when it expires, all of the free to play games are kinda boring.

@BAMozzy Great evaluation! My family and my family are big Xbox Users. My Uncle had a Early Generation Xbox from 2001, then my parents got an Xbox360, my little cousin now owns 2 Xbox Ones, and I recently bought my own Xbox Series S right before I started college. So It basically runs in my family, LOL! I respect PlayStation and they're consoles are really nice, but Xbox will always be a win for me.

@GuyinPA75 Why? I absolutely love the Xbox Series S. It's the first Xbox I've ever bought after I switched from PC. Even though I miss the nostalgia of launching STEAM or putting CDs into the Xbox One drive, its nice not to have to clean that dusty disc drive all the time. Xbox Series S is a win for me.

Does anyone still play Deathloop or Cyberpunk? I remember that was one of the OG Game Pass Utimate games that everyone loved.

@theduckofdeath Why do they do that? They just want to make more money. They used to charge $500 to $700 for an Xbox Series X, and then they still wanted you to pay for an Expansion Card AND Wireless Controller. I might as well get a PS5 for that cost (no disrespect to PlayStation). I always love Xbox but sometimes they really try to milk the money. I totally agree., but I understand that every company has to make sacrifices for the better.

@Elbow I used to play PC Game Pass, but it wouldn't matter if your EA Play account and Xbox App is updated, as well as your Gaming PC. I tried to launch into Battlefield 2042 once, and the game wouldn't load because my EA Play Account wasn't active. You have to make sure that your PC Game Pass is active while your EA Play account is also active. I made the mistake of not checking and I found out that they were 2 separate subscriptions! That is why is switched to a Series S.

@Kilamanjaro Yea man I feel ya. It's more active if you change your server region in your EA settings. U.S. West servers are usually the best bet depending on the time of day. I strongly suggest the evening towards the end of the week like on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday when people are on vacations and winding down for the night.

Honesty, I bought a Xbox Series S last year and I have outstanding performance. I have 7 games that I usually play. I mostly play Star Wars Battlefront 2015 and Star Wars Battlefront 2. Make sure you get Game Pass Ultimate as well. Game Pass Core is a solid rip off. Only games you can really play is Among Us and Overwatch 2
