Re: Poll: What Are Your First Impressions Of Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora On Xbox Game Pass?

I brought this around Xmas and recently finished it 100%, it's between a 6 and 7 really. The world is beautiful and the best part for me personally was just flying around on your Ikran viewing it...but beyond that the story is, well an Avatar story, it has it's moments though.
The combat is lacking especially when you're generally going bow and arrow against machine guns yet there's not any cover shooting to be done beyond literally standing behind something.
It has a number of features that feel like they're added for something else that tend to be slight annoyances, eating being one that gives you buffs (great) but you also need to eat semi regularly to regain stamina and speed up healing. I suppose it was added for "realism" of having to hunt/gather and eat but you're also spending days at a time flying across the map so it just feels like it should have been left as a buff and nothing more. Similar to hunting quality items feeling like a frustration to get what you need more than it's had alot of thought put into it.
Other than that, really, it's a Ubisoft assassins creed game, after 3-4 of each type of camp you know exactly what to do and where to go they're just copy pasted 60 times and rotated. The side quests are mostly nothingness, and theres a metric ton of collectibles/go here and do a single input things across the map that are just time consuming with very little payoff.
If you like the Avatar movies you'll find something about this that you like, as just a game to play though, it's really just a 6 to 7 out of 10 typical Ubisoft game you've seen a ton of times at this point.
