The more i think about it the more this is BS. I think the next-gen price hikes are a ploy since MS is at the forefront and investing in components they are citing shortages of just like the rest. It's artifical scarcity.
I believe the astronomical price speculations are all part of the scheme to scaremonger the consuner before they eventually offer generative Ai through the cloud as the "solution" with a return to "affordable" consoles, personal computing, etc. as long as you accept you won't really own anything and your life is on a ledger.
"Want $400 boxes on your entertainment center again? Just follow our lead on this....".
In the meantime we'll get this theater about them scrambling on what to do about RAM, SSDs, eventually raw materials, and so on.
They manufacture the problem, force your reaction, then offer the scripted solution
I do not trust the Coalition with the framchise and frankly don't trust Microsoft with their own franchises because they're self-sabotaging themselves to meet quotas
Despite this and basically a digital only format, there will still never be AO titles on the platform and they will still compel devs and publishers to censor to maintain the ideological agendas they committed themselves to more than their customers
