Yeah, been unable to make captures for nearly half a year. Not even a pop up to tell me if it was successful or not. Not even a corrupt file. Just nothing. Every support agent I've spoken to has only suggested restarting->resetting, and when that doesn't work they say it'll be escalated. Next one I speak to is still unaware, and the process goes around again. Little wonder Xbox has so few content creators compared to the competition.
@FraserG You guys are doing all these articles on these issues. Could you PLEASE do one about April's recording bug? It still isn't fixed after 5 months, and nothing we've done has gotten through to Microsoft.
They ONLY seem to care about fixing these issues when there's enough publicity, which we've sadly lacked all these months:
@Fishticon Yeah, unfortunately You can check through our comments to see the increasing frustration of all of us.
Last official word we got was in another users thread on the support forum. He told us a fix was coming in June, then told us to be "patient for a little bit longer". Nothing from since.
So I don't blame anyone for leaving Xbox at this point. Their support is atrocious.
Pure Xbox guys, since you ran this story would you be able to do one for the recording issue that's been affecting a bunch of us?
It started with the APRIL update 5 months ago, and nothing we've tried has solved it, even factory resetting. We've been trying since then to report it to Microsoft but none of their avenues have been of any help. They either completely ignore us, or only walk is through the steps to reset (despite us telling them we've already tried that).
Both internal and external captures are affected. They either don't save at all, or save a corrupted file. Any resolution, any length of time, across all consoles from One to Series X. The only thing we have in common is the issue started after April's update, though every month a few more seem to be affected.
Please, please, please! Any bit of publicity we can get, it might catch Microsoft's attention and get them to work on a fix for us.
