GT7 is in no way shape or form a live service game. Are you actually serious?
Always connected to the internet or persistant updates does not mean live service
A live service is a game that is designed to make you pay money. The idea is that you get tied into a gameplay loop. That loop relies on repeated tasks and timed events to keep you signing in every day. Progression is slow but gives the illusion of progress by providing you with a variety of currencies with which to speed your progress. So Destiny, not GT7. AOE 2 had 7 expansions, that's not a live service game. WWE games receive multiple roster updates and dlcs....they are not live service games
And the Sony live service games, none of those come from Sony 1st party developers bar Destiny which was created before Sony purchased Bungie.
This is the exclusive list of Playstation Studios (first party developers) I'd love you to point out the day one live service games that are on PC from here.

@Markatron84 please do. Sony are a successful profitable game company highly respected by their parent company.
The complete opposite of Sega and Microsoft who had success then completely blew it to the point where one left the hardware side of things and the other is pretty close to doing the same.
To say that's Sony or even Nintendo with both their insane console sales this and last generation would need to sell games on Xbox for profit is insane. Especially when it's those exclusives that are driving purchase of their hardware over Microsoft's.
@swedetrap sorry but their is not a chance GT comes out on anything but playstation. It's Sony's premier first party game. It's the one the entirety of Sony constantly boast about as the pinnacle of it's gaming department. part of the Sony culture as far as they are concerned. It will never ever be on Xbox or PC.
As for the sales not increasing, you really think Sony just released the biggest update GT7 has had when it's not selling anymore? It's clearly was planned too and is driving sales
@Markatron84 the Xbox online community has always been a cesspool of toxicity. Playstation has always had the more adult behaving community. I've been in both since they were launched

It will never happen

"Sony might have the dominant sim racer of the two companies, but Forza Horizon is in a league of its own in terms of casual open-world racers"
Sony doesn't even have an open world racer. That's like saying Sonys VR headset is better than Xboxs
Also comparing Motorsport to GT is hilarious. It's practically an arcade game compared to GT
