This New Xbox Controller Looks Absolutely Insane, And It's Releasing This Year

Have you been playing much Microsoft Flight Simulator lately? If you have, we've got the perfect new Xbox controller for you - it's called the Echo Aviation Controller XPC, and it's releasing later this year.

This controller looks extremely unique as you can see up above, featuring "professional grade flight controls" that combine pitch, roll, yaw, throttle, trim and core aircraft systems.

Here's a list of features that you can expect from the Echo Aviation Controller XPC:

  • Complete Flight Control in One Device

Echo combines pitch, roll, yaw, throttle, trim, and core aircraft systems into a single, streamlined PC controller — no separate peripherals required.

  • Precision Analog Stick for Pitch & Roll

Smooth, responsive Thumbstick delivers full elevator and aileron input for total aircraft control.

  • Four Throttle Levers & Trim Wheel

Independently Assignable Throttle Levers featuring detents and exchangeable caps accommodate single and multi-engine aircraft. The integrated Trim Wheel provides continuous in-flight adjustment.

  • Rudder Paddle System

Rear paddles move in opposition to simulate rudder input — providing realistic yaw control without external pedals.

  • State-of-the-Art TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance Sensors) and Hall Effect Sensors

Magnetic sensor technology in the Analogue Stick and Hall Effect sensors in the Rudder Controls for ultimate precision and longevity.

  • Essential Systems at Your Fingertips

Physical controls for landing gear, flaps, and parking brake streamline your flight experience and reduce reliance on keyboard mapping.

  • Compact, Couch-Friendly Design

The Echo Aviation Controller XPC delivers full control in a clean, minimal footprint - ideal for simmers with limited space or those building a portable setup.

  • Xbox and PC compatibility - multi-platform compatibility for the ultimate in flexible flight.

In theory, it seems like you could still use this as a standard controller for all your Xbox games, but the squished nature of the sticks make it a daunting prospect - it's ideally intended for Microsoft Flight Simulator alone.

If you're interested, more details are reportedly set to be revealed soon, with Honeycomb Aeronautical confirming that shipping will begin in Fall 2026. A PC exclusive version of the controller actually already exists, and here's what FS Elite had to say in their review of it earlier this year:

"In my view, the Honeycomb Aeronautical Echo Aviation Controller is the best flight-sim gamepad-style controller you can buy. It combines sleek design, useful functionality and at a price tag that is lower than anything else on the market. The inclusion of the carry case is a great little extra, and the ability to swap out pieces to customise your controller is the cherry on the cake that makes this such an easy recommendation."

The PC version retails for £129.99 / $149.99, but we don't yet have a price for the Xbox release.

Stay tuned for more info in the near future, and we'll leave you with some images down below.
