We've got a date for Onimusha: Way Of The Sword! Today's State of Play June 2026 event revealed that the game will launch on September 25th, 2026 — and the best bit is that a free demo is available today on the Xbox Store!

The demo isn't yet showing on the store at the time of writing, but it's supposed to be there anytime now. When it finally goes live, it'll allow you to experience "one of the opening stages" of the game for free on Xbox Series X and Series S.

Pre-orders have also gone live today for Onimusha: Way of the Sword, with the game retailing at £64.99 / $69.99 on the Xbox Store. This is an Xbox Play Anywhere title, so you'll get a free PC copy if you buy the Xbox console version.
