We haven't got long to wait for a major DOOM: The Dark Ages expansion!

It's been announced today that DOOM: The Dark Ages - Revelations will officially release on July 9th, promising "an all-new campaign expansion that unleashes a brutal new chapter of the Slayer’s saga".

Players can apparently expect "deeper puzzles, new demons, and new mysteries" as part of this, along with an "all-new deadly Chain Spear" that's said to "open up a whole new dimension of combat".

DOOM: The Dark Ages - Revelations won't be included with Xbox Game Pass, but it's part of the Premium Edition and Premium Upgrade should you own those already. Alternatively, you'll be able to pick it up separately at launch.

We'll leave you with more details and screenshots for it down below.

Wounded and betrayed, the Slayer is thrust into a merciless purgatory only escapable by confronting haunting truths and forging new strength with the help of a mysterious ally. He must ascend from the prison of his mind and fight an abomination of the gods to set his followers on the path to freedom.

Featuring new levels with deeper puzzles, new demons, and new mysteries, Revelations opens up a whole new dimension of combat. The all-new deadly Chain Spear offers returning slayers a uniquely satisfying combat system – one that rewards mastery with enhanced power and mobility. Also included is the highly anticipated Ripatorium 3.0, adding DLC content (3 new maps, new demons, and fully upgraded new weapons) plus deeper customization, improved pass code generation, and saving + loading personal presets.
