Resident Evil Requiem, one of the year's hottest games so far, has just received a free demo on Xbox Series X|S - as creator Capcom tries to get even more people through the door.
The RE Requiem demo features "part of the game's early stages" and is now up on the Xbox Store. We'll link directly to the game's demo page down below, but be warned that the team says "save data from the demo version cannot be transferred to the full version of the game".
Given how well Resident Evil Requiem has been performing so far, we're somewhat surprised to see that Capcom feels the need for a demo with this one, although it could help the game develop a long tail and bring in even more players down the line. Either way, it presents a nice opportunity for those of you who haven't picked up the latest RE title to give it a go and see what you think!
It goes without saying that we had a great time with this game and can absolutely recommend giving the free demo a whirl. Resident Evil Requiem is one of our absolute favourite games of 2026 so far, from a team right at the top of its craft. We'll share our thoughts on the experience down below:
