Resident Evil Requiem is off to a blinding start, folks. Following it landing right at the top of Metacritic's best-ever user ratings earlier this week, the team over at Capcom has announced an incredible sales milestone less than a week after the game's launch.
Indeed, RE Requiem has already sold more than five million copies in just five days on the market. As a result, the team "would like to express our heartfelt gratitude", with Capcom thanking players for "30 years of support" on the series.
We'll chuck their announcement on this down below:
It's not hard to see why the latest Resident Evil game is doing so well, to be honest. It's polished, well-built, supremely entertaining and full of nods to the series past; something that fans have clung onto already. Requiem feels like a celebration of Resident Evil, and this early sales milestone is cause for celebration over at Capcom as well.
It's not just series superfans that are fully on board with Requiem, either. We loved it, critics in general loved it, and yeah - there seems to be enough in this AAA survival horror game to please pretty much anyone that plays it.
