007 First Light Achieves Incredible First-Day Sales, Lots Of Post-Launch Content On The Way

The new James Bond game is off to an incredible start on Xbox and beyond!

Last night, IO Interactive took to social media to reveal that 007 First Light sold 1.5 million copies in its first 24 hours on sale across all platforms, thanking fans for "showing up" and sharing their "overwhelming enthusiasm" for the game.

And that's not all! In an interview with Eurogamer to promote the launch, the studio teased that a roadmap of post-launch content is in the works, with plans to expand its offerings through the TacSim part of the game.

The idea with TacSim is to offer "a space in which we can remix our levels", with the team stating that "launching the game is just the beginning", and that they're "going to definitely try to bring more content [here]".

"Hitman is sandbox and by nature feels more open to repetition. This one is more narrative driven, so once you've done the story, what else can you do? And that's what we're trying to do with TacSim. There is definitely a desire for us to continue to make things evolve."

Here at Pure Xbox, we've been loving our time with 007 First Light so far, as evidenced in our initial preview earlier this week, and the reviews have been pretty amazing for it across the board.

So, are you planning on buying it? Have you bought it already? What kind of post-launch content would you like to see for 007 First Light down the road? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments section below.
