As part of IGN First for March, the outlet has gotten ahold of almost 10 minutes of extended Forza Horizon 6 footage - showcasing a broader look at open-world Japan ahead of the game's Xbox and PC release this May.
Indeed, thus far the team at Playground Games has mainly shown us snippets of gameplay and developer commentary — like its Xbox Dev Direct showcase, for example — but here we've got a good nine minutes of raw gameplay, more like how it'd look and sound on our screens at home.
"We’re dumping the clutch on our March IGN First "cover story" effective immediately with Forza Horizon 6! As such, feel free to slide into the passenger seat and enjoy nine minutes of exclusive gameplay from the next instalment of Forza Horizon: the reigning heavyweight champ of open-world racing series."
Although this gameplay is at least uncut and shows us what it'll be like to cruise around in FH6, we can't help but feel like it does fall a little flat. We see very little of the races, activities and points of interest that'll be in the main game, and the video has also opted to go with 30FPS featuring heavy motion blur here. It's an extended look at the game alright, but it does leave us wanting a little more, to be honest.
We'll link to some of our other recent Forza Horizon 6 stories down below, including some clips of all the unique biomes that Playground has packed into its 2026 open-world racer. Hopefully we see some more detailed gameplay from FH6 in the coming weeks!
